First Week of Summer

The kids didn't get out of school until the Friday before Father's Day! That seems so late to us! The weather was pretty rainy until then, so it was probably a good thing.
Last week was beautiful, so we were able to start our summer in full force:

I think the kids' favorite thing to do is go to the beach. We are a very quick drive from a great one. They've had SO much fun.

As part of our summer "schedule", we go for a walk or hike every morning. This path is at the end of our street. Very convenient.

When we walk past this boulder, the kids always want to pretend to push it over.
Check out Jordan's teeth in this picture. He hasn't lost any four months ago and now he's lost five!
The kids and I are doing a hiking program where we hike a variety of different trails through the park. We did this one last Friday.
Finally, we've been trying to take advantage of the free ranger led programs that are also really close. This one was about bugs.

Sometimes after swimming practice, we drive to the beach and let the kids play a little bit more. Fun times!
All and all, it's been a good week!
