Fall

Where to start? This month has flown by. I've been meaning to post about SO many things, but it hasn't happened.

Our pumpkin harvest
A couple posts ago, I talked about the many projects we've had going on...well, some of them are still going on and I've added a few more. Add a little traveling, hunting, holiday celebrating, and kid's activities to the mix and I feel like I haven't had time to think straight! At this point, I'm hoping things will be a little less crazy by January.
Some highlights of this month:
  • Longest fall without a hard freeze I've ever experience. We were still picking tomatoes on Halloween and we picked the last of our raspberries yesterday. Long growing season=extra time to can and preserve all the produce. Maybe not such a good thing when you're short on time!
  • Halloween. Abby was a butterfly, Brinly was a cat, Jordan was spiderman, and Bryant was a lion. Bryant was too sure about his costume at first, but thought it was pretty fun to growl at people by the end. We made it to the class parties, downtown trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treat at the church, and had a Halloween dinner and passed out treats. We had enough Halloween to last at least a year.
  • Trevor went elk and deer hunting and shot some animals. He had a great time with his dad and brothers elk hunting. I think his deer was the biggest he's ever shot and he's totally converted to "opening day" hunting now. Jordan went with him and really enjoyed hunting with his dad and Grandpa Winters.
  • Trevor and I were also able to attend his brother's family's sealing after they adopted two girls. It was an experience both of us will always remember.
  • I've been busy making things for a craft fair that's happening the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's been fun, but it's been a lot of work too. If any of you will be in the area for Thanksgiving, you should stop by our table.

We've been so busy, but it's all with such good things. I'm extremely grateful for what I've been given.

I've been enjoying this Indian Summer! Sounds like you've been busy being the wonderful mother and housewife that you are. I need lessons from you! :)
Will you email me more info about the craft fair...where it is and what time? I would love to come by and see what you've done.

Hey Trish-
How did the craft fair go? I was wondering if I could get your address so I could send a christmas card. Thanks!
