Project Central

If I had to use one word to describe what's been going on around our house the last little while, it would be projects. Projects have been consuming my thoughts, time, and energy. It's a good thing I like stuff like this. :o) Here's a sampling:

Trevor built these lockers for the kids to put their stuff. I helped a little.
The kids and I totally love them. I think Trevor would too if he wasn't so aware of every mistake. (I can't see them, but apparently, he can! :o) )

He also built this bench for our porch.
He's not a fan of staining, so I got to do most of that.
A friend and I have been getting together to do craft projects every week. In the in between time, we each come up with even more projects for us to try. This is a sample of one thing I made this week. I didn't have a pattern and I cut up an old dress of the girl's to make this, so there are some things I want to do differently next time with the measurements, etc.

Canning has also consumed some time. We currently have quite a stock of apple and cherry pie filling, green beans, applesauce, jelly, and pickles.

My grandma turns 90 this fall and my aunts are throwing a party. I'm helping one of my aunts with the table decorations. I've been making A LOT of flowers like these to use.

Last, but not least, a few months ago I was also asked to help with the additional Relief Society meetings (formerly known as homemaking and enrichment :o)). This includes Super Saturday. It's been fun, but projects for that have really been on my mind the last two weeks too.
Honestly, I can't really think of much else we've been doing!

Woo Hoo! I love Trish projects. The crayon apron is so cute, and I'm dying over the bench and the lockers -- tell Trevor they turned out great. Good luck with the Super Saturday stuff!

Trevor should start selling his stuff. They are awesome! I am really sad that I am not there doing projects with you guys!

I love the LOCKER! What a great idea. I'm going to tuck that away for when I've got a bigger entryway and school aged children. Did he make it from a kit or did he make the design himself?
