Our garden is doing great this year. We picked some peas and carrots and dug some potatoes (see the blue ones?) this week.
I told the kids something to the effect that too much t.v. rots their brains. Abby took this very literally and has been reminding Brinly and Jordan that they don't want to have "rotten brains" whenever she thinks they've been watching too much. I also told the kids that if they did their regular chores (make bed, get dressed, pick up room, brush teeth, etc.) I would give them a grown-up chore to do (fun stuff like cleaning toilets and dusting and polishing furniture). Abby's the only one who's qualified to do a grown-up chore every day this week. :o) What a great girl!
Brinly's been helping Jordan learn his letters and learn how to write his name. (You're probably wondering at this point what exactly I have left to do. No wonder it's been such a good summer for me!) She's really enjoyed her cooking class this week.
A family in our ward was in a car accident a couple weeks ago. Brinly's pretty good friends with their oldest daughter, so all the kids have been concerned. Every night when I ask Jordan what he wants to say in his prayers he tells me that he wants to pray that A's mom will get better. It's sweet.
Bryant's been keeping me hopping. He's become very accident prone lately:
Have a great weekend!
