One night Trevor and I could hear them talking away long after their bedtime so we eavesdropped. I was interested to see what they had to talk about this late at night. I think we were both surprised to hear the following:
Brinly: How do you spell "magic"?
Abby: m..a...g...i...k
Brinly: No, one letter's wrong.
Abby: m...a...g...i...c
Brinly: That right. How do you spell "princess"?
So instead of telling secrets in the late hours, these two prefer quizzing each other on spelling words!

Awesome. I mean, I guess it is lousy if they are grumpy because of spelling, but it could be SO much worse. At least they'll get things right on the future spelling tests...
