Our week

The last couple weeks have really flown by. It seems like there is either something going on or something we're getting ready for. Here are a few things that have been occupying my thoughts and time:

  • Spring is here! We've had a few really nice days. We used them to do a little yard work and expand our garden spot. We're going to put our strawberries in the boxes. We've got quite the variety of plants and I'm excited to get started. I planted some bulbs last fall and it is so exciting to see some of them coming up.

  • Most of our neighbors mowed their yards a couple weeks ago. Ours looked fine, brown, but fine, until our next door neighbors mowed their's this week. That might be a project for this weekend.
  • Birthdays/Easter. April for me is nearly as crazy as December as far as figuring out what to get kids for their birthdays and what to do for Easter baskets and clothes while trying to stay within budget. I cut a lot of things out, but then I was down to nothing and didn't feel that would go over well. :o) We know we're getting Abby a bike for her birthday and that's one thing Trevor has an opinion on. Needless to say, he has been very involved in the decision making process, but we (Abby, Trevor, and myself) have FINALLY found something that we all can agree on only to find we couldn't get it anywhere in Wyoming. Let's hope it gets here by the big day.
  • Kids, Kids, and more Kids. This week the kids have had friends over almost every day for a majority of the day. Usually we might have that happen one day a week, so it's definitely not the norm. They played great, but were pretty tired from it all by last night. Some days went really well and I hardly saw the kids and was able to still do my regular laundry and cleaning. Some days were a little "harder". It was still fun though.
  • Bryant. He's been sleeping better and eating great, but he really is my little shadow. He follows me around all day and is not really content. I'm trying not to get frustrated by it. Even though he is walking everywhere now, he still would prefer me to carry him. On the bright side, I'm maintaining my baby arm muscles. He started falling asleep in his crib on his own for his naps. I consider it a miracle.

I am ready for a weekend!

You guys have been busy. I am excited to see what Abby's bike looks like and what features Trevor insisted it have. The comment about your baby arms made me giggle.
