A Day in the Life

Yesterday, Jordan woke up tired. He asked (demanded) that his mom cover him up with a blanket while he laid on the couch. Later, he was drinking out of a water bottle and ran into the wall. His mom cleaned up his bloody mouth and he was good to go. A little while later he was playing "cats" and hit his mouth on the table while meowing.
Jordan was not happy. His mom cleaned up even more blood. They picked up Abby from school and drove to Cody for shopping and dance. Jordan fell asleep in the car. It took his mom awhile to wake him up for the first store. Jordan whined through the whole store and his mom still let him pick out a candy whistle. He was happy for 10 seconds. When he got to the next store, Jordan had had enough. His mother could do nothing right. She held her list in the wrong hand. He wanted her to hold his hand and push the cart at the same time. When she had to actually put food into the cart, he was livid. The kicker was when they got to the card isle and she wouldn't let him get the birthday card (actually it was a sympathy card) he wanted. He cried over and over "But I NEVER got a birthday card before." The whole store was very sympathetic. One lady even volunteered to do something...anything...watch the kids so Jordan's mom could get the car. Jordan's mom declined since even with the crying he was moving in the right direction.
When they got to the dance studio, he was suddenly very happy. He chatted with his mom and played with his baby brother. He was quite agreeable for the rest of the day...until he was ready for bed and started demanding "quiet time"!

Oh Jordan....

I read this post and then heard Trevor was in Big Piney with the rest of the boys hunting. I seriously think kids save things up until you are all by yourself... :) Happy Halloween!

And I just laughed that he was good during dance class... What a kid.
